Here's some general press ramblings from Go211.com...
Go211.com (www.go211.com), the premier action sports social networking and online video share site, is proud to announce today that professional snowboarders Danny Davis and Kevin Pearce have joined the Go211.com Pro Team. Davis and Pearce will use this site as their exclusive online destination for social networking and on-line video to communicate with their fans and post unique and personal content.
The 19 year old Davis, from Highland, Michigan, has made quite a name for himself in the past two years, coming from obscurity to narrowly missing out on being part of the 2006 U.S. Olympic team. Along the way, Davis has placed 1st in the Nippon Open Halfpipe and U.S. Grand Prix Quarterpipe, as well as been named 2006 Rookie of the Year in both Transworld Snowboarding and Snowboarder magazines. “I hope to use Go211.com to make some more friends around the world,” Davis said. “I’m pumped to see videos from other professionals and to share my experiences as well.”
Relative newcomer Pearce has quickly become a serious player on the contest circuit. Among his finishes since the 2006 season is 1st place in the Nippon Open Slopestyle, Toyota Big Air in Japan, Arctic Challenge in Norway, Breckenridge Grand Prix Quarterpipe and New Zealand Open Slopestyle, as well as 2nd place in the World Superpipe Championships, the Mountain Creek Grand Prix Halfpipe, and Burton’s Abominable Snow Jam. The 19 year old Vermont native stands out among others with his huge mctwists and variety of stylish straight airs. “I’m stoked to get involved with Go211 and start sharing my experiences with their community,” said Pearce.
“We admire what Go211.com is doing to bring action sports athletes and their fans together in a way that has not been done before,” said Susan Izzo, Davis’ and Pearce’s agent and CEO of Mosaic Sports Management. “Giving the Go211 community an inside perspective to this lifestyle sport is sure to benefit the action sports industry as a whole.”
“We are excited to have Danny and Kevin join us at Go211.com,” said Sean M. Aruda, CEO of Go211.com. “Being so successful at such a young age, they are sure to inspire the younger generation of snowboarders.”
