The snowboarding mecca of Mt Hood, Oregon, will host the opening competition of the TTR World Snowboard Tour 2007/2008 season at the Fourth Annual Burton Abominable Snow Jam at the High Cascade Snowboard Camp and Timberline Resort over July 10-12th.

An International ‘who’s who’ field of Snowboarding’s elite riders will descend on the resort for the first TTR FIVE(5) STAR event of the season. Both Men and Women vying for 850 ranking points in the Halfpipe and Slopestyle formats, creating the possibility of posting 2 high value early season results towards their 07/08 Tour Title aspirations.

The Burton Abominable Snow Jam will be offering over $140,000 USD in prizes including a Volvo C30, two 2007 Harley-Davidson XL 1200N Nightster™ motorcycles and plenty of cold hard cash. The female or male rider with the best overall performance throughout the entire event will win the Volvo Overall Rider Award and drive home in a new Volvo C30. The Harley-Davidson “Inspired Ride” Award winners will be selected from those that have competed in all events of the ASJ and have shown the award committee the combination of the following: original tricks and combinations, creativity in blending unique riding, and a singular style that is dynamic and vibrant. In addition, male and female Best Trick prizes for the Quarterpipe, Halfpipe and Slopestyle events include a Rolex watch, a MacBook Pro and a Sony HDV video camera respectively.

The elevation of the Fourth Annual Burton Abominable Snow Jam to a TTR FIVE(5) STAR level event reflects not only its growing reputation as a high value event property, but further demonstrates the determination of the TTR World Snowboard Tour to increase geographical access to riders globally.
